We support bereaved children and families to help rebuild their lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page of the Staff of the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe.

Nearly 50 members of the Academic and Support Staff of the RGS are taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge on June 11 and 12, 2011.

They are taking part in this challenge in aid of the Child Bereavement Charity after suffering the tragic loss of two serving members of staff, Mr John-Paul Stevens (Head of Maths) and Mrs Judy DeGelas, (Teaching and Learning Team Secretary) in 2010.  J-P and Judy were incredible figures of support and humour within the Staff Common Room and both left young families behind.

The RGS Staff have come together to take on this challenge in their memory and to be able to make a difference for families across the UK who suffer the loss of a parent, grandparent or family member that is dear to their heart.

Every pound you donate will go towards providing families with the support they need, when there seems like there is nowhere else to turn to.  CBC makes a big difference in the lives of bereaved families and the Staff of RGS want to make sure that the support CBC can offer is available to as many as possible.

You can read about what arduous tasks lay before the RGS Three Peaks Team by casting your eyes over this web page which gives an in-depth introduction into the journey, potential routes and general information on how to prepare: http://www.thethreepeakschallenge.co.uk/

A web page will soon appear on the School's website, with information about the timings, preparation, team members and more! Check www.rgshw.com soon for more details.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig as deep as we climb high and donate now.
