Story
Cancer, we're coming to get you!
A friend of mine died of cancer just before Christmas last year, at the age of 37. It always gets said, and it is always true, but it really was so terribly sad....she was too young. She was vivacious and curvaceous, always glamorous, terribly flirtacious, funny, forthright.....a touch on the saracastic side (her weapon of choice), and always good company (she could make Samantha Jones blush with some of the conversations we used to have!). The world has less colour in it, now that she is no longer with us.
Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create a force that cancer can't ignore.
Gift Aid it!
If you are a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box when donating as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Sponsor me now, and we can become cancer's worst nightmare!
The gang is made up of me, my mum and my sister in law...and this year my 4 year old son is joining us. He has decided that we will be 'pink pirates' this year. His attendance (5K is a long way for 4 year old legs), and the 'pink pirates' is surely worth a couple of quid.
So this year I am doing the Race in memory of Angela....it is the first year have had to do it 'in memory'. I hope that the money you help me raise will mean that this won't always be the case.
Many thanks for your support. Together we will beat cancer.
Paula, Marjorie, Alison....and Olly. x
