I am only too aware of the number of different appeals that go out to each of you and that you all give generously already in a number of different areas. Cancer does have a habit of affecting a huge range of folk and at unexpected times. I would be surprised if each of you did not know of someone within your particular circle of friends and family who has been affected. That certainly is my own experience. My brother -in -law was diagnosed wth stomach cancer a few years ago.
