As most of you know, Katy was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer with only 100 cases diagnosed in the UK every year, in September 2008 aged just 15 months old. She has been through intensive chemotherapy, stem cell harvest, major surgery, high dose chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, radiotherapy and medication as well as countless scans, tests, blood and platelet transfusions, injections and being fed through a tube in her nose. She has been through so much more than many of us will in a lifetime and she has done it all with a smile on her face. Katy is now a happy, healthy three year old and a huge inspiration to us all.
This is obviously a cause very close to our hearts so your support and donations will really mean alot. No matter how much you can afford, every penny you donate really will make a difference to the lifes of so many people. Events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us now you can help more people like Katy survive cancer.
