Tara On the 7th October 2005, Joan Gray aged 68 died of lymphoma cancer due to unsuccessful treatment. lets try and raise as much money as possible to help save the lives of the ones we love.
Laura On the 7th January 2000 my grandad, Keith Elliott, died from lung cancer... I know this race is ran mainly for women who have suffered from cancer. However the way I look at it is, you should run the race and raise money in memory of your loved ones, to me this is my grandad. My grandad was one of the most important male figures in my life, as I am getting married this year I am thinking about him, and missing him more than ever. I will have a photo of him on my bouquet on my wedding day so he can be with me as I walk down the aisle. This is my way of thanking him for everything he ever did for me, showing him how much I miss and love him and doing my best to raise as much money for cancer research as I can, in the hope that one day there will be a cure and that others wont have to suffer and lose the ones they love to this illness.
