As well as remembering many friends and family on this race, I will also be celebrating the lives of those who have beaten cancer through advances in diagnosis and treatment. Please help more people beat cancer.

I may be the slowest person to complete the race, as I will be walking it on crutches, 5 days before my second hip replacement. My Mum says I am daft, and maybe she's right, but if I can help Cancer Research UK by hobbling these few short miles, I will.
