I lost my Aunty Audrey to cancer last year after her brave and dignified battle with the disease. I have also lost many other relatives to cancer including my Grandpa, my Nan. My mother is still part of an ongoing research programme to find a reliable test for ovarian cancer and I have smear tests anually to try to ensure any changes are detected in time. Jade Goody's story is a sad one and show's that despite all the current methods of detecting cancer it is still hard to diagnose early enough.
