Please Help Beat Cancer!
Many of you who know me will know my mum, Sally Bannis, also known to many of my friends as Sal Ban. Mum has been battling cancer for the second time now over 9 years and has been doing a remarkablely amazing job of it!
In 2003 mum was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, the lump had spread to a point of removal of one breast, and mum had to go through chemotheorapy, which helped alot but was also very distressing for the family as a whole. It was 50/50 but she pulled through, we knew she would as she was fighter. She was then given the all clear but then diagnosed with ME which affected her ability to do alot of things, even down to walk to the shop and also driving. This caused mum to spend alot of her time in bed, which was nice for her relax but also again distressing when wanting to get up and do something but physically couldnt. This went on for 5 years.
A couple of years ago from now mum then suffered pains in her lower back, then find again she had been diagnosed with cancer in her overies, this time it was terminal and had spread through to her bones and times got harder.
MacMillan have been extremely good to mum looking after her giving the best and i mean the best of the best treatment and doing eveything they could do help shrink the tumours in her ovaries and strengthen her bones, and it really has worked. Now mum is on the mend and its a miracle as we really believed we would lose her a lot sooner then what we will now. The latest results have been fantastic and it just goes to show that buy contributing just a few pounds to pay for all this medication really really can save someones life, although no all cancer can be cured, a life can still be saved or kept more healthy for longer.
