Thank you for visiting my Race For Life sponsorship page. I don't know how many years I have been taking part in this event now - I imagine since 2005 as I sadly lost my Nan at the end of August 2004.

Anybody who has lost somebody early due to this awful disease will understand when I say that it doesn't really get any easier to accept that the person is gone. I still think about my Nan very often and this is what keeps her alive in my life. Although I can't see her anymore or talk to her directly I keep myself happy by believing that somehow she knows that I'm doing ok and that I'm happy.

Anyway, I'm getting away from the point of Race For Life! It's events like this that are vital in raising the money for all the clever people to come up with better treatments for cancer... My Nan, along with so many others, passed away prematurely and it's such a worthy cause to raise money for.

Please sponsor me as much as you can afford to during these tough times! And if you are a lass, please sign up and complete the course so you too can raise money! Even if you don't relish the thought of running through the park - lots of people walk the course, there is no pressure =) The atmosphere is always amazing, there is pink everywhere and great music to listen to all the way around. Let me know if you'll be there, if not pleassssse sponsor me, even if it's minimal - will be very grateful =)
