Help us to help more people beat cancer
We are racing, well taking part!, in the Race for Life 10km run at Clumber Park on Saturday 21st July 2012 at 10am.
Cancer affects everyone whether they have experienced it first hand or know someone who has so please dig deep and sponsor us, if we can give up out Saturday for a good cause then surely you can give up your spare change??!
Why we are running:
Amanda:
I am doing Race for Life in loving memory of one of the kindest, most gentle men I have ever had the good fortune to know, Roger Burston, aka Daddy No 2. Daddy 2 was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in April 2011 and following the marriage of his precious daughter Sam in May he passed away in his haven in Spain with his loving wife Yvonne last August. Although he may be gone he will never be forgotten and I hope that by doing the Race for Life I can help to raise some money to help support some of the other families and their friends living with this disease.
Claire:
I’m running for my mum she had Breast cancer, she had a Mastectomy but has come back from this healthy and happy thanks to the research done
Nikki:
I am doing the Race for Life because so many people I have known and loved have been affected by this awful disease. I want to be able to hold my head high and say I'm doing my bit to try and change the world.
Gift Aid it!
