Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Richmond FC JustGiving page in aid of the Sebastian Adeniran-Olule Charitable Fund

Eight current and former members of the Heavies Academy Richmond Rugby squad, are downing pre-season tools and are setting off on a near 200 mile cycle ride to Paris, departing on the 6th July going via Portsmouth and aiming to reach the Arc de Triomphe on the 8th July.

Peloton members (in descending weight order):

Daniel Parkinson, Will Warden, Jack Allcock, a returning Matthew Keville, Sir Thomas Platt, Adam Gadsby, Jamie Gibbs and James Kyle.

We are cycling in aid of our fallen brother Seb A-O. We shared a lifetime of memories with Seb over the course of two seasons. He may be gone, but will never be forgotten.

Seb was a pupil of Whitgift School and Wellington College and was gifted both in the classroom and on the rugby pitch.

He joined the Harlequins Elite Player Development Squad at the age of 13 becoming a full time Academy player at 18. On loan to Richmond he became a key figure of our club both on and off the pitch. He was a regular starting member of the squad that saw the club promoted from National 1 League into the Championship in the 2015/16 season.

Tragically Seb passed away on May 9th 2016 at the age of 20 and the Seb AO Fund has been set up in his memory to support boys who would not normally be able to afford the academic and sporting opportunities he enjoyed. It is the Fund's mission to help young men realise their full potential in the same way that Seb was able to do in his all too short life

So if you can spare some loose change in support  of this fund then we will be incredibly grateful.

Or, if you would just like to see Parky on a bicycle then that would also be well received!

Wish us luck as I feel we may need it,

(Heavies Academy) Skips.
