Story
In order to raise awareness and fund raise for the Royal Air Force Association, a selection of personnel from RAF Boulmer will be taking part in a trek along Scotland's West Highland Way later this year. WO Carter, FS Hughes, FS Beattie, Sgt Fleming, Cpl Hogg, Cpl Stewart will make up The RAF team and will be trekking the 96 miles (154 Km) from Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow, to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis. Travelling north into the highlands, the route will pass through some of Scotland's finest terrain - from Loch Lomand and up to Rannoch Moor, Glencoe and the routes highest mountain peak 'The Devils Staircase' at 1640ft.
Weather permitting and hopefully surviving the dreaded 'Midge'
attacks, the team aim to complete the route within 5 Days and reach their target of £1000 for RAFA.
If you have time, please have a look at the web address below and see the outstanding welfare support the RAF Association provide its serving, its veterans and dependents in times of need.
If indeed you can make a small donation towards our charity, it would be greatly appreciated. On behalf of the RAF Boulmer RAFA committee and the Trekking team, thank you.
