When theatres were closed on 16 March I said I wouldn't shave again until they reopened, never expecting it to be more than a year. In that time my beard has grown but thousands of theatre workers have faced desperate times, financially and emotionally. Now, with hope on the horizon, it's time to put that beard to good use.
