Story
Kelly’s sister (Michelle) was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly before Christmas and has recently begun chemotherapy. This was as you can imagine rubbish news but the outlook is promising.
At her first chemotherapy appointment Michelle was provided with a ‘care package’ from Look Good Feel Better (details below) which significantly lifted her spirits and that of the wider family during an understandably difficult time.
Michelle has demonstrated steadfast determination and is embracing the process of treatment confidently and with exceptional courage; to that end she has now shaved her head to get ahead of the inevitable side effects of her ongoing treatment.
For those who have not seen me recently, I (really) need a haircut, it’s over 8 inches long (which I’d describe a shoulder length, but according to Kelly that would be an exaggeration). Michelle’s new style looks super cool so as a show of solidarity I am going to embrace the number one all over look too and thought I’d try and raise a bit of money for a good cause as well.
Obviously getting a haircut when I desperately need one is hardly an incentive to get you all donating; we all know I will look fabulous with a shaved head. So I thought I should up the stakes a little and set some targets.
If we hit £1000 I will remove my beard too (on 17 May it will be 7 years since I was last clean shaven). For £1500 I will include a leg and for £2000 I’ll do both. Finally if we can hit £2500 I will do a fully blown bic/shiny/skin head.
I know that times are hard but anything that you can spare will have a really positive impact on someone going through what for some will be the fight of their life.
Thank you!
