Story
Hey everybody! Raphael here, and I'm going to be going on the Bristol Jailbreak 2012 with my good pal Oscar Gilbert! As the Queens Road representatives of Bristol Jailbreak 2012, we're hoping to travel as far as possible in only 36 hours without spending any previously-raised money - hitchhiking, blagging train tickets, clinging to the underside of a Siberian pig truck, whatever it takes to get ourselves as far away from Bristol as possible! Now, this isn't just about us trying a clichéd 'On the Road' journey of self-discovery - we're doing this to raise money for the Quartet Community Foundation, one of RAG's many assorted grants schemes which uses student fundraising to support local projects which target those in need within the area. If you sponsor us, that money's going straight to people who are disadvantaged or isolated, so please help us help them.
As for the details - starting from 9am on Saturday 10th November, we will have 36 hours to escape Bristol and travel to parts unknown. Doing this does require a donation target to be reached, otherwise we'll be paying the donation itself out of our own pockets. We have absolutely no idea where we'll end up (although since our insurance rules out war zones that does slightly limit the possibilities), but you can track us using this online tool.
(P.S. Sorry this all seems a bit short-notice, the date itself was chosen only very recently).
