Story
I’m taking part in Wheels For Change 2014 for my chosen charity because it is an exciting cycling challenge that will help to turn young lives around. The money that I raise will be split between 2 extremely worthwhile charities:
• UNICEF’s Schools for Asia initiative which focuses on the most marginalized, excluded or otherwise vulnerable children and young people from disadvantaged ethnic groups or who are living in remote areas and/or in extreme poverty. The goal is for children and young people to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to shape a better future for themselves, their communities and the world
• Singapore Disability Sports Council, the national sports body for the disabled in Singapore which provides elite and recreational sports programmes to persons of all disabilities through its member organisations, benefitting the vision impaired, the hearing impaired, the physically disabled, the intellectually disabled and people with cerebral palsy
