We support disabled people to be active for life

Story

Welcome to Pownall Wheelers Just Giving Page.

Nine ordinary 'dads' will be cycling the Way of the Roses on 10th and 11th October. Day one will see us set off from Morecambe and cycle the hilly 75 miles over to Ripon. On day two we will leave Ripon and cycle the remaining 95 miles to Bridlington.

The riders are.....

Jon Hunt, Frank Durkin, Gary Broady, Mark Bradbury, Steve Lowdnes, Nick Garvin, Nick White, Steve McConville and Adam Eckersley

Special mentions also to David Goulbourn and Mark Wilson who will be drivers!

We're supporting the amazing work that English Federation of Disability Sport do.

Disabled people should have every opportunity to be as active as non-disabled people. Physical activity can make a fundamental difference to disabled people’s quality of life, it can increase independence and benefit our economy and yet disabled people's activity levels remain low. The charity champions disabled people’s right to participate in physical activity and sport.

It would be great if you could donate and share my Page so we can raise as much as possible to help them support disabled people to be active for life. Thank you.

Activity Alliance is the leading voice for disabled people in sport and activity. It is not fair or right that disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people. Your support will help us to achieve our vision - fairness for disabled people in sport and activity.
