Story
Powerday has decided to participate in several charitable activities w/c 9th November to raise funds for Children in Need.
Our grand finale will take place on the 13th November, where our team was planning to run or cycle throughout the day with a collective target of 300km in a day. Tommy Leigh, our Head of Finance, will still set off at 2am to run 100km solo.
The rest of the Powerday Team will also be using their time over the next week to do their own running and cycling individually to get us to our collective target of 300km.
Joint MD, Liam Kearney cycled 106km from his home in Esher all the way to the Powerday HQ in Willesden, North West London.
Due to the lockdown restrictions our original plan to get a static bike in the office had to change. We have adapted our fundraising plans to stay in line with government advice. Make sure you are following us on socials to see everyone getting involved!
We would be grateful for any donations, however small, for this great cause.
Powerday is an independent family business, providing market-leading waste management services to construction and demolition companies, local authorities and commercial businesses operating in London and across the UK.
The ethos of 'giving back' installed by our Chairman and founder Mick Crossan and shared strongly by our Vice Chairman Edward Crossan, we use our sustained growth to support our local communities. We believe strongly that the lives of disadvantaged young Londoners can be improved through sport, local employment and education.
Our work in the community, delivered through the Powerday Foundation and Powerday Academy, is now as important to our Company as our Waste Management Services.
