Story
The Salvation Army have been providing emergency assistance to people in need for over 150 years.
In Norwich, we run a drop-in for people who are homeless or vulnerably housed. Pottergate Advice and Refreshment Centre (ARC) is a safe place for emergency assistance with friendly support and advice.
People can charge their phones, access the internet, do their laundry, get a shower and of course enjoy some food and a hot drink. Housing and addiction support is also given via our partners Pathways and Change Grow Live, who visit frequently.
The ARC is a safe haven for people to be able to come, be cared for and feel that they belong. It’s not just about practical support, but also helping people to feel human again; a place where they can be themselves, be accepted and not judged. We want to give people the opportunity to make choices that lead them to a healthier and happier life.
Your donation will make a difference to local people in a desperate situation. It could be the most significant thing you do this week. Thank you!
