We make lifesaving connections to help more patients survive and thrive

Story

Sadly, Porridge the Deeside Donkey passed away on 20th July aged 38 years old. He had a happy, privileged, action-packed life enjoying many activities including riding, carriage driving, weddings, racing and pony club. He appeared on the stage in musicals, a fashion show, opera and met Joey the Warhorse puppet.

Dukes Veterinary Practice have looked after Porridge's wellbeing for many, many years especially when he needed them most during his later years. As a tribute to their dedicated professionalism we have chosen The Anthony Nolan Charity, which helps to connect young people with blood cancer to lifesaving stem cell and bone marrow donors. Helping young people is what Porridge enjoyed the most.
