‘Success consists of going from failure to failure without
loss of enthusiasm.’

This popular Winston Churchill quote is the story of my running career so far… so now I have decided to put that enthusiasm to good use and will be running the Cardiff Half, in memory of my darling brother Oliver and on behalf of The Royal British Legion.

The British Legion is a charity very close to my family’s heart and have been a tower of support since we tragically lost Oliver, whilst serving in Afghanistan in 2014.

Oliver was the most enthusiastic, passionate, brave young
man, who was a dedicated Intelligence Reservist, excelling in his position in Afghanistan. Oliver was a rising star, and grasped every opportunity thrown at him, but most importantly, he was my big brother and my best friend.

So, in his memory, I shall be running Cardiff Half on behalf of The Royal British Legion, to raise money to help all those boys and girls like Oliver, past and present, and to continue the Legion’s courageous work, supporting families like mine.
