Story
More and more, video games are a part of our culture, a part of our childhood. Some of the first generations to embrace gaming are still playing now as adults, still having fun exploring new worlds, fulfilling fantasies like being a racing driver, being the hero in a fantastical story and so on.
Sometimes we take such things for granted, so for a moment just put yourself in the shoes of someone who is, due to circumstances beyond their control entirely, can't do that. We think that those of us who enjoy our games, even those of us who have bought games for others or simply know of people who enjoy them, can spare a little money to make it happen.
Let's help disabled children just be 'children' and have fun with their friends, family members, or on their own even, playing the games we love and being part of the community we find ourselves in. Format, platform, genre of choice have no place here.
Today we're all just people who love to game. And are doing it to service a great cause. Last year we started with a target of £100 and ended up with £257, so this year we're setting the bar even higher.
24 hours of gaming, raising funds so that others can enjoy games as well. It will be streamed live on Twitch.tv at http://www.twitch.tv/PlonkersInc from 19:00 GMT on the 21st February until the same time the next day!
We'll be including new games as well as old ones spanning across different consoles, so hopefully there will be something you can come check out!
