Stop Press: Tuesday 19.4.11
Again, thank you for all your donations and kind messages of support. I got round in 4 hours and 5 minutes - disappointing in that it was my slowest time; encouraging because I made it at all. Very hot weather and many casualties at the roadside. The last six miles were a blur as hundreds of people overtook me. Toenails once again sustained the main damage. I have vowed never again, but then - Helsinki looks very picturesque. P x

I am running the London Marathon on April 17th in support of RAPt, the Rehabilitation of Prisoners Trust, which works with addicted prisoners and ex-prisoners to break their dependency on drugs and alcohol.
50% of those entering the prisons system have such a dependency, and RAPt's mission is to help people recover from substance misuse and build meaningful rehabilitated lives outside prison. They offer 12 step programmes in 9 UK prisons and 500 people successfully graduate from RAPt's intensive programme every year.
In the community, RAPt provides aftercare through residential and daycare centres including The Bridges in Hull, the only facility in the country specifically for ex-offenders and addicts, and The Island day facility in Tower Hamlets, which both help to reinforce long-term movement away from addiction and crime.
Police National Computer Data shows a significant decrease in re-offences from those who have passed through the RAPt programme.
I am proud to raising money for such a remarkable and hard working charity and I hope you will give generously! Visit info@rapt.org.uk. Thankyou.
