Story
The pandemic has dominated the news and our lives over the last year, and within that we have seen communities blamed and targeted. At Pioneer Educational Trust, one of our core values is to drive equality. We have a role to play – not solely about academic results and progress, but also in developing and shaping the world that we want our pupils to live and thrive in.
With the 2020 Olympics being deferred to this year, during the week beginning 28thJune 2021, Pioneer Educational Trust’s valued staff and brilliant pupils willall be taking part in our annual Charity Challenge to raise money for Stop Hate UK by walking, jogging or running the equivalent miles from our schools to Tokyo – a huge 5,938 miles! Pupils (and perhaps even their active families) from Foxborough Primary School, Trevelyan Middle School and Upton Court Grammar School will be racking up the miles to raise money for their chosen charity. Please give generously!

Stop Hate UK is one of the leading national organisations working to challenge all forms of Hate Crime and discrimination, based on any aspect of an individual’s identity. They provide independent, confidential and accessible reporting and support for victims, witnesses and third parties. Hate Crime is one of the most underreported crimes in the UK and, whilst we know that reported incidents are on the rise, we also know that the number of actual incidents is way in excess of those reported.
