What is the contest in aid of?

The contest is in aid of the excellent local charity, Pilgrims Hospices. See the paragraph opposite for more information about what they do and a link to their website. 

Who is running the contest?

The contest is being run by the Phoenix Tavern pub in Faversham (www.thephoenixtavernfaversham.co.uk)

How do I enter my beard in the contest? 

To enter your beard you simply have to take a photograph of it and send it to office@thephoenixtavernfaversham.co.uk. The entrance fee is £5 which you can pay in the pub, or by making a £5 donation via Justgiving. If you donate via Justgiving, it is very important that you state your name clearly and say that that is your £5 entrance fee in the comment box provided.

Who can enter?

ANYONE can enter as it doesn't need to be a real beard - ladies and gents are also welcome to style it out with a falsey!

How do you decide on the winner?

The winning beard will be the one that has received the most votes.

How do I vote?

Each vote costs £1. You can vote in the pub, or via Justgiving. If you use Justgiving, remember to state who you are voting for in your comment!

Can I vote more than once?

Yes absolutely! This is a totally corrupt election. You can vote for a beard as many times as you like (£1 each vote). You can also vote for multiple beards (still £1 each vote). The more you vote, the more we raise!

Where can I see the beard pictures?

The pictures are displayed in the pub, on the pub website, and in the gallery section of this page.

When is the closing date for entries?

The closing date for entries is Tuesday 17th February 2015.

When will the winner be announced?

There will be a big quiz and award ceremony at the pub on Tuesday 17th February at 8.00pm. The quiz costs £2 to enter and proceeds go towards the fundraising total for Pilgrims.

Will there be a prize for the winning beard?

Yes, a fantastic meal for two at the Phoenix Tavern.
