Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be running the 2017 London Marathon in memory of my wife, Jane, and on behalf of our two children. Jane died in 2013 from a brain tumour at the age of 51. Running and raising funds for NDCS is my attempt to celebrate of Jane’s work as a speech and language therapist, something I know that she loved and from which she gained so much. Jane worked with deaf children in West Wales, where we lived, and prior to moving to Wales, Jane had also worked throughout her career in support of deaf children, starting in Birkdale School for the Deaf in the mid-1980s and subsequently in Banbury and Oxford. She was also closely involved at Oxford with the establishment of a cochlear implant programme. All of this work, her colleagues, and, of course, the children and their families, meant so much to her. Helping raise funds for NDCS is a terrific way to recognise Jane’s work, her wonderful contribution and the many friends she made along the way. So, please support NDCS.
The National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) is the leading charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. You can find out more information about NDCS at http://www.ndcs.org.uk/
