We fund research to make pregnancy and birth safe for all

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm running The Bupa London 10,000 on 30th May for Tommy's. This 10k run starts and finishes in St. James’s Park and covers the last 10k of the course likely to be used for the 2012 Olympic Marathons.

The charity affectionately known as “Tommy's” (after St Thomas' Hospital, where both my mother and father began their medical training) was started in 1992 and today leads the way in maternal and foetal research in the UK.

One in four women will lose a baby during pregnancy and birth.

Tommy's exists to save babies’ lives by funding research and providing information to parents on the causes and prevention of miscarriage, premature birth and stillbirth. Their target is to halve the number of babies that die during pregnancy or birth by 2030.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure - they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Thanks again and please come and support me on the 30th!

Love, Philly xxx
