On May 29th I am taking part in the "MEL ASHWORTH RIDE FOR LIFE" organised by my friends Mel Ashworth and Rachel Bentley. We're riding on horseback from The Crown at Normanton-on-Trent to Harby and back to the Brownlow at Marnham approx 15 miles.

Many of you may know I used to ride a lot as a kid (see photo of me on Minstrel at Osberton - aged probably about 18). Recently I have taken up riding again and as part of this I have set myself challenges like entering local shows - got a second in beginners jumping!! On 22 May I'm doing a pre-novice cross country. Arhhgg sleepless nights!

The challenge on the 29th May is to raise valuable funds for Cancer Research and spend a long time on horseback! My aim is to raise £500 so I hope you can find it in your hearts to sponsor me. For those local please come along on the day - there's a hog roast and disco afterwards. (That's after a radox bath!!)
