Story
This year, we (Luka, Nick, Myles and I with Nick kindly lending me a bike, thank you Nick!) are heading up to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry for Harlequins’ last regular league season fixture against Wasps on 18th May. We will be doing so in the company of a group of Harlequins legends, led by Olly Kohn, and representatives of both the current Men’s and Ladies’ squad Charlie Mulchrone and Holly Myers.
Divided over two days, we will leave the Stoop on the Friday to begin the 200km journey to the Ricoh, ready to challenge ourselves and make some amazing memories. With the bulk of the cycling completed on day one, an evening meal in Staverton hosted by the legends will follow, before breakfast the following morning and the final leg to Coventry. We will then watch the match between the two huge historical rivals, with coach transfers back to The Stoop. The target is to have at least 100 cyclists raising money and all proceeds from the ride will go to the brilliant work being undertaken on a daily basis by the Harlequins Foundation which sponsors projects and programs in sport for women, disability and mixed socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as mental health for both children and adults.
