Elise for Life is an appeal set up by Elise, a colleague from Gadbrook Park, and her husband Mark. Elise was diagnosed with terminal cancer in January 2010. It was typical of Elise that during her battle with the disease she was thinking of others and she and Mark decided to raise £1Million for the Christie Hospital in Manchester where she had much of her treatment. Today, the total raised is approaching £650k and much of this has come through sponsorship and fund raising associated with some pretty amazing expeditions, details of which you can find on the Elise For Life website (www.eliseforlife.org). In 2013 Mark is organising for 4 groups to attempt to climb the highest peak in Africa, Kilimanjaro. 

As part of 2013’s push to reach the £1m target for The Christie hospital, Mark wants to take 4 groups of 30 people to the 5,895m summit of Mt Kilimanjaro – the world’s largest freestanding mountain, and Africa’s highest peak! 

I need to raise over £2200 by July 2013.  Barclays will match this £4£ and double it,so hopefully we will hit the £1M for Christies Hospital.
