Fundraising for Alzheimers Dementia Support 'ADS'
Dementia has affected all of our lives and those that we love. So we have decided to raise some money to support Alzheimers Dementia Support by running 5k round Eton Dorney lake dressed as Santas. Even Mary-Frances!
We have dedicated this challenge to the memory of my Aunt, Ann Dowling, and my father in law, John Scullion, both of whom suffered from dementia. We all know people who are managing the impact of a diagnosis of dementia either for themselves or a loved one and want to support an organisation that helps.
'ADS' is a local and independent charity that assists, guides and actively supports people living with Dementia, their Carers and families in our local area encompassing Windsor, Ascot, Maidenhead, Slough and Langley. Their services provide engaging, meaningful interactions and activities with advice and a 'someone always ready to listen'. Many of the Services do not need to be pre-booked. They work closely with other Agencies to signpost Members to additional support and information.
Whatever you can give, small or large, it will all go to help families who have been through the same experience as us.
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
