Alzheimers Research is Iceland's Charity of the Year for 2011/12 and we're committed to raising at least £1 million for research into Alzheimers.

 

Throughout August thousands of Iceland colleagues and customers will be fundraising in a bid to top last year's £1.5m that was raised for Help for Heroes.  I'll be doing my bit by running the Newark Half Marathon with many of my team.   Not known for our athletic prowess it will be a big challenge but one that we're serious about!

 

I know we all receive lots of requests for donations but I'd love you to support me and help me raise money for this great cause.  Alzheimers is a truly horrible condition that has touched many families, including my own, and it is only with increased research that we stand any chance of understanding, controlling and ultimately beating it.
