My 30th Birthday is fast approaching & I thought I'd celebrate it by doing something a little bit different- on 6th July I will be in Norway with around 1500 other rubber & lycra clad lunatics racing Ironman 70.3 Haugesund.

The Ironman 70.3 distance is more commonly known as 'half-iron' or 'middle distance' and is a triathlon comprising of a 1900m swim, a 90km cycle and a 21.1 km run- this is a total of 113km or 70.3 miles (hence the name).

Rather than have a big party and be lavished with expensive gifts (as I'm sure you would all do!) I am instead raising money for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland which is a charity that worked very closely with my mum. So consider this an 'unvitation' to my 30th birthday and any donations you want to give in lieu of that would be greatly appreciated!
