Story
After cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats in 2009 I vowed I would undertake a charity challenge at least once a year..... 6 years later I've finally got round to doing another one.
I'll be cycling from Geneva to Nice over 4 days from 20-23rd June. I'll be covering 80-90 miles each day and will get to experience the joy/misery of cycling up and over the Alps!
I am doing the ride in support of the Ickle Pickles charity and more specifically the neo-natal unit at Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral. As many of you will know, my wife Gemma gave birth to our beautiful little boy, Barnaby in October last year. He wasn't very well when he was born and spent a week in the neo-natal unit where he received the most fantastic care from some very special doctors and nurses. Thankfully Barney is fully recovered and is doing fine now.
We are so grateful to the staff at the neo-natal unit and so I thought it was time to do my bit to say thank you.
The Ickle Pickles charity will use any money that I raise to help the neo-natal unit at Arrowe Park Hospital purchase specialist equipment to provide care for premature and sick babies. Surely that's worth a little bit of your hard eared money!
