Story
***A very personal post!***Big Announcement***
On the 4th January 2022, I stepped onto the scales and weighed in at 86.4kg (13stone 8pounds), close to the highest weight I have ever been. With almost 2 years of lockdowns and restrictions including the closing of gyms etc. and a primarily desk-bound occupation, the weight gain has come about by inactivity rather than laziness and has been a gradual thing that no one has really noticed other than me, through the general feeling of lethargy.
Therefore, I decided that something needed to change so I set myself the target goal of getting down to 70kg (11 stone), not through dieting but through exercise. For me, this is a huge challenge as I haven't been at 11 stone since I was in my 20's and now I am into my 50's and attempting to turn the clock back.
I didn't want this to be a New Years resolution post that fell by the wayside so started to increase my sessions at the gym, to between 5 and 6 sessions per week to begin my journey.
Those who know me; will know how much I relish a fitness challenge. Previously, there have been my 500 miles run challenge and my 1 million metres row challenge to mention a couple
As of the 13th February 2022, I had managed to get down to 83.40kg (slow progress, but little steps) and thought it about time to commit my support in raising funds for Support Staffordshire and helping them to support over 1000 charities throughout the Staffordshire region.
Lastly, thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and any donation you could afford would be greatly appreciated by the good people at Support Staffordshire.
