Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  My darling daughter Pippa died a little over four years ago.  The last four years have been the most difficult of my life for lots of reasons, particularly after also losing my lovely mum to dementia in 2016.  I ran the London Marathon in Pippa's memory in 2015.  In 2017 I passed the point of being without Pippa for longer than I was with her.  So I decided on another challenge to commemorate both my angel Pip and my mum.  I'm not sure an Olympic distance triathlon is the most sensible way to start competing in triathlons, but hey ho.  In for a penny.....

Please cut and paste this link to read Pippa's story and help me do my little bit to try and find ways to prevent the flood of avoidable deaths from sepsis

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
