Story
In memory of Pete Louden
On the 9th July 2020 after feeling unwell for a couple of weeks, Pete was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver. Sadly he died on 1st October.
Treatment was unfortunately unsuccessful but we received invaluable support from both the Macmillan nurses at St James’s Hospital and Jo, the Macmillan palliative care nurse at home.
The current situation means we can’t have the funeral we’d have wished for so we have set up this page in his memory and to support the amazing work that Macmillan does. All monies raised will be directed straight to care in the Harrogate area as arranged with Macmillan.
Update - 19/01/2020
We have just been informed today that the money that everyone so kindly donated has meant that the palliative care team in Harrogate can now offer 7 day a week care for their patients (previously this was 5 days a week). Thank you so much for your kind donations Pete would be absolutely humbled by your generosity.
