Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
This is not about war or politics - this is about men and women of the Armed Forces who come back home severely wounded from their place of work - just doing their job. They deserve our help.
In May 2010, we came off our rather slim, push bike saddles after peddling hard for 350 miles over 6 days to raise money to help service men and women who now struggle with severe physical and psychological disabilities.
Our route took us to many of the war memorials along the Somme and finally to the 70th anniversary of the evacuation of troops from Dunkirk. The ride was exhilarating and often very emotional. A full account of the ride can be seen at http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/bbbr_2010.html . Please take a look - the ride had a huge impact on both Jonny and me; it will change your life as well.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Help for Heroes charity and they'll also make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we will raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. But if you prefer, you can of course just mail a cheque to one of us made out to "Help for Heroes".
So please dig deep. Many thanks. Jonny Buxton and Peter Heath - The Lycra Lads
