We are sad to announce the death of Peter Gerrard on Wednesday 22nd April 2020. Always a man of many talents, from his guitar and singing days to his house building and antique making ones, Peter was also a successful author of a number of bestselling biographies, including, of course, The Guv'nor.

He leaves behind a wide network of people who will each hold their own impressions and memories of him.

When Peter was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we were told that he would be going to stay with the Butterfly Hospice. They have a wonderful reputation and we know he would have been very well cared for. Sadly he deteriorated unexpectedly and very quickly, passing away within days of the news. His family and friends will miss him greatly. We thought the best way to honour his memory was to support an invaluable part of the community where he spent most of his life.
