Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name is Peter Waugh and I'm a Foot Health Practitioner by profession.
In the course of my everyday work I have visited many people with varying degrees of Alzheimer's and I've seen at first hand just how devastating this illness can be both to the sufferers and to their loved ones. I've also seen how helpful the resources provided by the Alzheimer's Society are and very often they provide a real lifeline for families affected by this dreadful condition.
My target is to raise £530 by running the Leicester Marathon on 11th October 2009 which will fund 10 people to undertake the Society's dementia training programme which means there will be 10 more people with the ability to help. If you feel you can help, I, and many people you and I will never know, will be very grateful.
