Story
Rita passed away in October 2017 after a long battle with cancer. We as Rita's family continue supporting Dublin GAA and in memory of Rita we wish to raise funds for a much needed and well deserved charity.
In late 2015 when Rita was first diagnosed with bowel cancer, she began her treatment in early 2016 in St James' Hospital. While receiving treatment, Rita visited ARC on many occasions, where she enjoyed mindfulness sessions, attended individual and group counselling sessions. The great support Rita received from the staff and other individuals who attended the support group. Rita emmered herself into Once again another group because of her outgoing personality.
Rita was a very abid supporter of Dublin GAA and attended all of the matches home and away. She gave all of her support to the Dublin teams along with her family
Rita was a very loving wife, mother, nanny and friend. As many of you will know, Rita was always involved in many organisations that required funding. There was never an occasion when she didn't have a book of raffle tickets in her hand, whether it was for our childrens school or activities they were involved in.
We now wish to call upon all GAA supporters throughout the country, near and far, to raise funds for a very charitable organisation run by dedicated supportive staff.
