The reasoning behind choosing the Cleft Lip and Palate
Association (CLAPA) as my charity is a very personal one. Born with a cleft lip and palate in September 1985 I was part of the 4th generation in my family to have a cleft lip and palate and have had to complete multiple operations in my life.
Three babies a day in the UK are born with a cleft lip and/or palate, they can face decades of treatment. Each donation ensures CLAPA can continue to provide the necessary care and services to give people affected by a cleft the knowledge and emotional support they need.
We have experienced first-hand the incredible support network
the charity provide both to the individual and the family.
