Hi - I've been planning a big (and alarmingly expensive!) birthday bash to celebrate my 40th birthday. Today I opened the paper and saw the photo attached of 2 year-old Aden Salaad, a refugee from Somalia. My big party will have to wait. Please join me in raising money for the Disasters Emergency Committee, which is an umbrella organisation for 14 humanitarian aid agencies (including Oxfam, British Red Cross, World Vision). To entice you to donate, I will match every £1 donated by you with £1 of my own. I hope that many of my friends will see this as a fantastic opportunity to hit me where it hurts most!
