Story
I met Pricey (Mark) through mutual friends and as fellow Welshman at opposing ends of the sporting and size scale, we became good mates. I know how happy he was to marry the girl of his dreams and start a family. I cannot imagine what he and Mealie then went through in the following months.
Having no words that seemed appropriate at the time, it was without hesitation that I accepted the call up to join Pricey on this adventure, in order to raise money for the wonderful people at the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at the Royal London Hospital.
As Pricey says "for five weeks the doctors and nurses tried everything they could to save Isabel and we could not have wished for better people to care for our daughter. We want to thank those wonderful people by raising some money, and hopefully in some way, help any child or parents who are unfortunately in need of their help."
So, with 6 moths to go before this endeavour, I will be committing my body to lycra and my motorbike fund to a piece of overpriced carbon fibre and getting to know Richmond Park intimately. I might even branch out onto public roads….
Although sponsorship requests are numerous these days, please donate whatever you can and rest assured that all money goes directly to the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at St Barts.
Thank you.
