We provide free high quality care & support to people who are terminally ill.

Story

Peter Brennan and 17 other “volunteers” will be embarking on a trip of a lifetime in support of Hospiscare in Exeter. The 6 day Sahara Trek will be far off the beaten track into one of the most unusual and exotic natural environments on the planet, where baking hot days collide with chilly nights.  This fantastic challenge will also introduce the mysterious nomadic culture of the Berber Arabs, as we traverse sand dunes and rocky, lunar landscapes.

The trek has been rated as moderately challenging however the heat and the basic camping environment will really test the group. A good fitness level is required so a serious amount of training has been undertaken to prepare. All travel costs for the trip have been paid for by the volunteers, so your donation will go direct to Hospiscare. For UK tax payers we can also reclaim the tax via Gift Aid, further boosting your contribution.

I hope that you can support this fund raising challenge and in exchange enjoy 6 days of peace and quiet. Thank you in advance for supporting the great work of Hospiscare.

Peter
