Story
Well, the ride, the aches, the sores & blisters are a memory now... but what a great experience!!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated... more than £10k raised is a great achievement and is a testament to your generosity, many, many thanks on behalf of our Wounded, Injured and Sick Service Personnel.
I promise not to bother you again... until next year, Paris to London, bring it on and why not join me?
Pete
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page....
I was very seriously injured in an IED explosion in July 2005 whilst working in Baghdad, losing my left leg, left arm and sustaining an extensive list of other life-threatening injuries. There followed 2 years of hospitalisation and rehabilitation before I was able to return to a 'normal' life - I know from experience how important the work of Help for Heroes is!
In May of this year I will attempt to cycle, using my one good arm and my left stump, a total distance of approx 350 miles in 5 days as part of the Help for Heroes 2012 Big Battlefield Bike Ride team.....
