Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I work at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital where the most seriously injured children were taken after the Manchester Bombing on 22 May. Every day my colleagues do amazing work with diligence and compassion. But in the immediate aftermath of this atrocity I saw them step up to a new level of excellence, caring for the children, their parents, and one another.
Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is the biggest, busiest children's hospital in the UK, but unfortunately doesn't benefit to the same level of charitable support as other centres; I want this to change!
In the wake of the bombing I found myself looking to buy a Bee T-shirt to demonstrate solidarity with fellow Mancunians. Whilst looking it was suggested to me that I should have a Bee tattoo. I have never previously considered a tattoo. However I do see the symbolism in this declaration of Mancunian pride - but I need a push to go through with this!
I will go ahead and have a bee tattoo on my lower right forearm provided sponsorship of at least £2500 is made to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. (Photo's of before and a mock-up of after are shown below)
You'll note the link on this site goes to the Central Manchester Foundation Trust; this groups all the trust's charities together and I can assure you that, if you choose to support my cause, 100% of your donation will go to the Children's Hospital.
Please donate: If you have thought of having one of the Manchester Bee charity tattoo's but cannot bring yourself to go through with it, then please support my cause and make me do it for you!
Thanks
