Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 25th April I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Combat Stress, the leading charity providing mental health care and support to ex service personnel who are experiencing emotional and psychiatric problems as a result of their service to the country in the Balkans, Iraq and right now in Afghanistan....few of us know how we would react to the constant threat of being killed or wounded..the sight of a close friend being killed or perhaps witness at first hand the killing of innocent women and children, and be powerless to stop the violence.

Combat Stress provides three short stay centres across the country including a facility in Scotland - Hollybush House in Ayrshire. In addition, they provide a community outreach across the country. Your donation and sponsorship will greatly help the organisation  provide the necessary care to our veterans.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

kind regards...Pete
