Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My wife Sheila introduced me to her great friend, Jean Bailey.Via Jean I met Julian Bailey, possibly the nicest man I have ever met. I still recall, fondly, going with them to watch the Millenium display on Blackheath. Walking back the mobile disco started to play Jeff Beck, 'Hi-ho Silver Lining', we were in our Teens again!

Sadly three years ago Julian contracted CJD and left us much too soon. There is little government support for the CJD Support Network, it is not a high profile disease, but it is devastating to the families of those affected, who die too quickly.

I am not a wordsmith, nor a singer and I often put my foot in my mouth (too frequently) but I can ride a bike. Please sponsor me for this 100km challenge. It can help people deal with the effects of this disease.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
