We empower communities to secure a sustainable future
Story
Last year my wife Marilyn and I went to Malawi and saw the fantastic work that Ripple Africa is doing to help the people there improve their health, education and environment. So whilst Marilyn is able to directly support the teaching effort (see her in action in the Volunteer video ) I am trying to do my bit by raising some money in the full knowledge that even small amounts can make a huge difference.
So I’m one of 40 people participating in “March to Malawi 2012” to collectively walk 8474 miles, which is the distance from the charity RIPPLE Africa’s base in the UK, to their base in Malawi. The event runs for a period of 7 months, between March-September 2012. My personal commitment is to walk 210 miles towards the group’s effort.
